Fullerton Children's Repertory Theater (FCRT) consists of approximately fifty boys and girls in the fifth through the eighth grades.  Membership in the company is by audition only.  Auditions are held twice each year at the Fullerton Union High School Little Theater which is also the location of rehearsals and performances. 

Auditions are typically scheduled for the last Thursday and Friday in April  and the last Thursday and Friday in September with the child only required to audition on one of those days.  All auditions are closed (only the child is allowed with parents waiting outside) and conducted in groups of five or six based on arrival.  Children should come prepared to sing a simple song and have piano sheet music or have pre-recorded music with a player.  FCRT will not have a cassette or CD available for you to use during the audition.  They will also be asked to "cold" read from a script (nothing to prepare for) and dance a very simple dance combination.  Previous acting experience is not required; however, children wishing to audition for FCRT should be good singers and be able to dance a few simple steps. 

There is a nominal per performer fee per show to participate in FCRT which is used to defray the costs of putting on our fantastic productions.  Licensing rights, sets, and costumes must be purchased before the first ticket is ever sold.  In addition, parents are expected to participate in the show, helping out in everything from set building to costume sewing to makeup to program design.

Fullerton Children’s Repertory Theater is a non-profit organization in its 28th year of producing 2 full Broadway musicals each January and July.  Membership is by audition only and is a commitment to 2 shows per year through the summer following 8^th grade.  There is membership tuition of $200 per show.  A full schedule is available on the audition table.
